The fifteenth Annual Balerno Bowling Club Burns Supper was held in the clubhouse on Friday 8 th February. Honorary member Alan Rankin conducted the lively proceedings from the chair before a packed and enthusiastic audience.

The first meeting of the newly elected Club Committee has now taken place under the chairmanship of President Hugh Watt. It was really encouraging to find that the club has managed to attract a full committee of fifteen members to oversee the many duties of the coming season – especially as five of the committee is newly elected members. Sharon Grieve, Robin Murdoch, Brian Ronald, Ross Young and a Past President David Anderson were welcomed onto the Committee for the coming season.

During the month of March, bowling meetings will be arranged for the Ladies, Gents and Senior Sections to select players for the Scottish, Edinburgh & Leith, Water of Leith and the West of Edinburgh Bowling Association Leagues and competitions.
